I'm currently on Perfect Choice 100 which is costing me €29 per month for 100 anytime any network minutes & 100 anytime any network texts and also free Vodafone-Vodafone calls and texts only at weekends.
Vodafone Simply (€20 per month) gives 100 anytime any network minutes & 100 anytime any network texts and also free Vodafone-Vodafone calls and texts all the time. More for less basically.
My 12 month contract expired a few months back and I am eligable for an upgrade, although I don't want one for another while yet. So I am free to switch price plans if I wish. If I do switch would that effect my eligablility for an upgrade (when I do eventually want a new phone)?
Surely there has to be some catch??

So basically I can switch to Simply now and when I want a new phone in 5 or 6 months I can switch back to Perfect Choice, sign a 12 month contract and get my new phone with the usual upgrade discount?
You can't get an upgrade and stay on Simply, you have to switch back to Perfect Choice and sign a new contract. The Simply price plan is cheaper and has no long contract because you will never be eligible for an upgrade while using the price plan.
