VPN restriction Gigabox Modem why and phone line not working

I need to be able too work from home using remote login through VPN I am unable to do this now since router upgrade to Gigabox Modem this needs to be sorted can only use the neighbor WiFi for so long.

Do I have to leave Vodafone due to this restriction?

Also the phone is not working engaged tone all the time.
