I got an sms from Vodafone on Tuesday 31 July saying the following:-
"Hi there, keep an eye out for a call from us this week with our special offer of a free 4G handset when you extend your Vodafone broadband by 12 months. We will be calling from 012037800. T&Cs Vodafone.ie/terms. Opt out call 1800200234"
Sure enough they called me that very same day. I had my phone in my hand so I answered promptly the call cut off almost instantly. Nobody spoke. They have since called 3 times with the same things happening, 1st Aug, and 8th August twice. I answered all four calls from them and there's no problems on my side but every time the call cut off as soon as I'd said hello. What's going on? Is it a technical or staffing problem? It's ridiculous!!! It's a complete disturbance getting texts and calls when there is no purpose to them. Why are vodafone calling and cutting the calls off as soon as the recipient answers the call? I feel like cancelling my "at home" contract because of all this.
