I need a written confirmation that my contract has been cancelled. What sort of company doesn't supply this?

I've cancelled in time and revoked consent to debit my account. If Vodafone want their router back, they will need to confirm the cancellation in writing. Otherwise, I'm done with this company.

I put in for cancellation of broadband and home phone over a month ago then I was told I need to confirm this but still no contact as far as I am concerned I put in the cancalation and the 30 days are up I will cancel my direct debit and go elsewhere
