Vodafone Mail access problem

I've just noticed that outlook stopped connecting last Thursday and when I tried to repair it by re-entering all the log on details that I have been using it tells me the log on has failed. Has there been a change in the details for the server does anyone know?

Hi folks,
Would you mind checking if you can log into your Vodafone mailboxes on the website - it's possible that the mailbox is locked for exceeding the size limit?

Hi Darren,
I can log in via the website no problem, my capacity is showing at 34% as I have Outlook set to remove messages from the server. Most of the mail I send is through the laptop so my sent folder is the main contributor to that.

It just stopped suddenly, Outlook is saying that the connection is interrupted to the server and asks me to confirm the log in details.

Thanks for following up.

My webmail is working fine, 28% capacity. Also my email is working perfectly on two mobile phones that I own (both on vodafone, 1 bill pay, 1 prepay) and both are set up to use imap.vodafone.ie.

I cannot connect to the server using Outlook. I have tried imap.vodafone.ie and as per your suggestion I have also tried pop.vodafone.ie but that does not work either. To test the pop connection I even tried it on a laptop that previously had none of my details on it. I get the following message for the pop connection no matter what I do:

"Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)."

Hi

I am having the same problem .
I have been using vodafone mail on outlook for some time now but just over the last couple of days I can send emails but cant receive them on outlook.
The problem seems to be the pop.vodafone.ie server
Have vodafone changed the server address ?

Has there been any fix to this. I too have been having this problem the last week or so.
I can send messages from the account on outlook but the pop3 will not receive any messages.

"The connection to the server was disconnected" is the error message.

My capacity is at 2%.

Same here! Can't use IMAP on Outlook. It just won't log in. But surprisingly vodafone IMAP is working perfect on iPhone. Can read, send, delete on iPhone with no problem. And it's working perfect with Mail on Mac.

My father is having the same issue, he uses UTV Internet and it appears like a routing issue

Looks like is not a routing issue, his laptop can receive email fine, getting the same TTL response on the laptop to a ping??
His laptop is running outlook 2003 = working
His desktop in office 2007 = not working
Both using same ISP

On the desktop I can telnet to port 110 and get connected.

I have checked windows update history but no recent updates (windows updates are off as not configured)
will apply Office updates to see if this resolves

I am having the same problem for about a week now. Everything worked fine until then with Outlook using imap.vodafone.ie. Since then the same error code "the server closed the connection" & "contact your ISP or service provider". Coincidentally, the send vodafone an e-mail function does not work, it keeps reporting an error code, seems like all this is happening since the message from Vodafone regarding voice mail & fax service change appears at log in on the website.

Since the forum is the only support that is available I am relying on you to sort this out. (Tech support phone number just rings engaged 24/7)

That sounds about right, probably someone did something on the table and inadvertently created the loop. Given it was sent to the tech team last week and it's a fix that wouldn't take too long to implement, something should be back on it by now

Hey folks, I have 2 Vodafone mobiles ( 1 Bill pay, 1 pay as you go) Home Vodafone with Broadband and landline, my wife has a vodafone mobile and this is the level of service we are getting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you sort this out, Eircom are ringing me monthly and are becoming a more attractive proposition by the day!
