Hi, I am trying to set up email on my Ipad. I have an eircom email but have recently changed over provider to Vodafone. I have set the Pop server to the same settings as Outlook but it will not send or receive emails on the Ipad... any suggestions please.
Do you get an error message? What server name are you using?
I believe Eircom server name should either be webmail.eircom.net or mail1.eircom.net

I have it set as the incoming mail server "mail.eircom.net" and the outgoing server "smtp.vodafone.net"... no other outgoing server seemed to let me set up email at all.

Could you change the outgoing mail server to mail.vodafone.ie and test it again?

"The SMTP server "mail.vodafone.ie" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the outgoing mail server field".
