Could you take the following steps for me and let me know if the issue is resolved please?
Empty your message outbox - delete anything that's not yet sent
Make sure your default connection is set to live
Download and install the Vodafone Ireland settings app from the Android Marketplace
Restart the phone
Make sure any running apps are switched off (some apps can hog your internet connection, preventing the MMS from being sent)
Send a test MMS to yourself.
I can't send MMS messages from Vodafone Smart 858.
I've checked my APN settings for Vodafone mms and it appears to be ok. Although, you may be able to point in the right direction: url / guide for settings to check this.
Is there something on the Vodafone side that needs to be updated to sort this problem out for me. I've seen Vodafone's response from other topics indicate this.
I have a similar problem, I bought the Vodafone smart 858 in purple last November and in late march i started experiencing problems with it.
it was really slow and the touchscreen was unresponsive so i configured the touchscreen and deleted all apps but there was no change.
in early may, it wouldn't send texts or calls even when full of credit.
in mid may i just gave up on the phone and used all the credit on internet.
im not buying myself a new phone until I've found out what the problem is.
any help would be useful!!!
If your having issues like that on the phone, it may be a good idea to drop it into a Vodafone store so they can send it back to our repair centre to investigate this?
