The edge is probably my next phone, I've been delaying taking an upgrade. Cant wait for the reviews and see if Vodafone are going give the VR with it also.

The edge is definitely nice. Now I've got trouble deciding to either hold out for the note in August. It would be cool if Vodafone do the free VR. Hope you've registered interest!

Its up for pre order on the vodafone uk site including the gear vr but I'd say we are going to get taken for a ride for cost wise as I just done a check on prices, the equivelent uk plan to mine and the edge is £9 but when I compared to phones we have already the z5 premium is also £9 but over here its €150

Why does the vodafone irl site not facilitate pre orders? Carphone Warehouse are covering pre orders here (along with VR) - wonder why vodafone aren't doing the same?

Well Samsung announced all pre orders get the vr for free all other carriers pre orders went live 2 days ago and include the vr. I'll see now whether I'll upgrade or not

I was just about to ask where you seen it for €50, strange yesterday it was free for pre orders from carphone. Its free on all other carrier's and even vf UK. The phone is even £9 on vf UK for the equivalent price plan but here €280. Samsung also stated all pre orders receive the vr.

Price is dictated by customer base. Ireland has 4.5 million people, The UK has over 70 million so there's a better customer base in the UK and Vodafone UK and Vodafone Ireland are 2 separate Companies trading under the Vodafone Umbrella of Companies.
