Ex Hurricane Ophelia & Storm Brian Update - Wednesday 25th October 2017

As a result of Ex Hurricane Ophelia & Storm Brian, there has been significant damage to the telecoms infrastructure around the country. Our engineers are working hard to restore service for all customers affected as soon as possible.

 

Based on present fault volumes, the below is a guide on the current average restoration times per county from the date your fault was logged. We expect that fault volumes will continue to fluctuate over the coming days which could further impact estimated repair timeframes, so please check back here for the latest information.

Significant progress was made over the bank holiday weekend in reducing fault timeframes across the country. Our engineers are continuing to restore service for customers affected by the recent storms.

 

Based on today’s fault volumes, the below is the updated table on the current average restoration times per county from the date your fault was logged. We expect that fault volumes will continue to decrease over the coming days which could further reduce estimated repair timeframes, so please check back here for the latest information.

The volumes of faults being reported has significantly reduced in most counties but still remains above average in the following counties: Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Wexford and Carlow as engineers focus on large cabling and poling jobs in order to restore service.

 

We expect that fault volumes will continue to decrease over the coming days which could further reduce estimated repair timeframes, so please check back here for the latest information.

Significant progress has been made throughout last week in reducing fault volumes across the country with most counties now returning to normal repair timeframes.

 

Based on this morning’s fault volumes, the below is the updated table on the current average restoration times per county from the date your fault was logged.

 

The volume of faults being reported has significantly reduced last week in most counties as engineers continue to repair damage to the telecoms infrastructure. Since the storm, our engineers have replaced over 1900 poles and over 2200 sections of overhead cabling.

 

We expect that fault volumes will continue to decrease over the coming days which could further reduce estimated repair timeframes, so please check back here for the latest information.
