Transfer old number to new sim

I bought my mum a new phone for Christmas (a SONY Xperia E3) and a new generic SIM card, can someone help us transfer her old number to the new SIM? Also she was wondering if her remaining credit would be transferred over with the number?

Hi @erelihan,

We can perform the SIM swap from here certainly, your mum's credit will also transfer across along with the number.

Please provide the below information in a private message (by clicking on my signature) and I can request the action:

Mobile number:
Address:
Date of birth:
Old SIM Number (begins with 89353):
New SIM Number (begins with 89353):
A frequently dialed number from your phone:

Hi,

 

I got a new sim card and I cannot find a way of transfer my current number from old sim to new sim card.

 

Can you please advice?

Bill pay customers can do this via calling 1907 or try live chat. 

 

To use live chat click talk to us at the bottom of this page then choose whether you're on bill or pre pay. It should pop up then. Avoid chrome browser as it doesn't appear to play well with the links.

   Related quetion for this topic:

I'm on contract and got new mobile Samsung as Upgrade.
My SIM is quite old and big, not fit for new mobile.

I've popped up to local Vodafone store and asked
to get a new SIM and get my number transfered.
They've called somebody, tried to hand over to me their handset to talk to
those, they called to, but lady on another end asked me agent number and I
handed phone back to store guys; then they told me 'system' not
available. Not sure what 'system' is but the only alternative
they proposed is to cut my current SIM card to the proper size
or I can call over in couple days in hope 'system' would be available
(they looked pretty pessimistic though).

They didn't provide me empty SIM either, saying it is empty...

So my quetion - should I try another Vodafone store or this 'system'
may be back and everybody with need to switch to another SIM just
depend on it? Or else I stick to my big old SIM and old handset for life
if I want to keep my number - and I better send my new Galaxy back to Vodafone?
