I have switched phones from an iPhone to a Huawei P20 and although my si m card works for phone calls I seem to have lost my 4G. Is there anything I can do to switch it back on.

Phone should be fine, perhaps 4g is disabled in the Settings.

Whats the Preferred network Type?  in Settings-->Mobile Network
