Apple Watch series 4 -- Cellular/GSM Support

Does Vodafone Ireland have any plans to support the new Apple Watch series 4 with cellular/GSM service anytime in 2019 please?  Here are the details of some of the frequencies that could be used. 

Can anyone at Vodafone Ireland reply please?   

 

Apple Watch Series 4

  • Model A2007 (40mm case size)
  • Model A2008 (44mm case size)

LTE

  • 1 (2100 MHz)
  • 3 (1800 MHz)
  • 5 (850 MHz)
  • 7 (2600 MHz)
  • 8 (900 MHz)
  • 18 (800 MHz)
  • 19 (800 MHz)
  • 20 (800 DD)
  • 26 (800 MHz)
  • 41 (TD 2500) 

 

UMTS

  1. 850 MHz
  2. 900 MHz
  3. 2100 MHz

The esim is the issue. Comreg have as of yet not approved these devices for use in Ireland as far as I can tell.

Id say as the 5g networks start to roll out next year, there probably will be support for it. But I would guess it would be at the end of next year
