J3 samsung mobile phone screen problem

Hi Bought a samsung J3 Mobile phone Batch 9417182233408 complete with protective case from vodafone shop the marshes Dundalk Total cost 194.98 . seven days later phone screen went black ,Took back to shop they sent phone to there repair specialist . report back says screen has hair line crack . They did not offer to repair or replace phone instead point to damage screen ,As you can see i bought protective case with phone and did not drop or abuse phone , my previous samsung phone which i have now resorted back to  is 4 years old and give no problems . please can you advise how i can further my case to get a replacement hand set as i believe the fault was in the phone screen from new.

Mods wont be back until Monday to help. You could try live chat. To use live chat click talk to us at the bottom of this page then choose whether you're on bill or pre pay. It should pop up then. If Chrome browser acts up then try a different browser as some versions don't appear to play well with the links.

I am very dissapointed with vodafone system for sorting out problems with  my phone which i purchased from vodafone shop the marshes Dundalk 

The shop is not actually owned by vodafone and is only interested in commission sales

I have been a customer of vodafone for 17 years . But not for much longer

Did you ever get sorted with this issue, my FIL is having a similar issue with the same phone and same shop.  They are refusing to replace it, even though the report came back saying it had passed all their tests which included drop damage and water damage. Very disappointment with the shop and FONUA.

 

Next step will be letters of complaint and then to small claims court if it is not sorted.
